UK FE College Group Portfolio Solar Programmes
25 named UK FE college groups. Multi-campus portfolio solar programmes funded via single Salix Decarbonisation Loan bids, PSDS Phase 4 capital grants, and Mayoral Combined Authority decarbonisation pots.
The UK FE sector includes 21 group corporations operating 3-15 campuses each, plus a further 4 specialist land-based colleges with multi-site or large-estate provision. At portfolio scale the unit economics of solar improve dramatically — £700-£850/kW installed versus £900-£1,100/kW for single-site work — and a single Salix Decarbonisation Loan application can cover the entire portfolio.
Below: individual portfolio solar opportunity assessments for the largest 25 UK FE college groups and specialist land-based providers.
